A former actress before she started joining Binibining Pilipinas, Pia joined the local beauty competition three times before finally coveting the Bb. Pilipinas-Universe title on her third try.

Today, Pia continues to influence others and promote her advocacies such as HIV awareness. She’s a UNAIDS Goodwill Ambassador for Asia & the Pacific. Coined “Pacman” in the ring, Pacquiao was admired because of his extraordinary skills in fighting, which resulted in numerous knockout victories.

Today, Pacquiao serves as a Philippine senator, but he still returns to the ring from time to time despite previously declaring that he would retire. His most recent fight was against Lucas Matthysse where he knocked out Matthysse in the seventh round and won the WBA “regular” world welterweight title in Malaysia.
