But before you get your fangirl on, here’s a quick recap of his famous works:

Memories of Bali

So Ji Sub plays the brooding Kang In-Wook who a travel agent (played by Ha Ji Won) meets and together with another heartthrob Jo In Sung, they will form one of the most unforgettable and complicated love triangles in K-Drama history.

I’m sorry, I love you

Here So Ji Sub retains his tough character with a golden heart as he plays a thug who plans to take his revenge on his birth mother for having abandoned him. Contrary to his belief that she abandoned him for poverty, his birth mother turns out to be a top movie star and his twin brother also a top star. But things always don’t go according to plan, as he meets his brother’s best friend (Lim Soo Jung) and falls in love with her.

Master’s Sun

Contrary to his usual strong and mysterious characters, So Ji Sub plays a rich, arrogant, and humorous CEO in Master’s Sun, where viewers got to see a different and lighter side to the actor. He meets Kong-Sil (Gong Hyo Jin) who has the ability to see ghosts. She’s been traumatized by seeing supernatural beings every day in her life, but that will soon change once he meets this unlikely CEO whose presence makes the ghosts go away.

Oh My Venus

One of his more recent and squeal-worthy dramas is “Oh My Venus,” where he plays a fitness coach who falls in love with an overweight lawyer (Shin Min Ah) who has problems of her own. He will help her regain her confidence. As they work on her physical transformation, both discover they feel more for each other than what they will admit. As they grow closer they heal each other’s emotional wounds and fall in love.

My Secret Terius

His recently concluded drama and the one that earned him a drama actor award is “My Secret Terius,” where he plays a legendary NIS agent. Three years ago, he was involved in a failed secret operation and the woman he loved died. He has since become disconnected with the world and lives alone quietly. He helps his neighbor Go Ae-Rin uncover a conspiracy, which her husband became involved with.
