Last Sunday, local celebrities strutted to Resorts World Manila for the 49th Box Office Entertainment Awards. The women dazzled in their gowns while men swaggered in their suits and tuxedos. While some celebrities stood out as they bagged awards, others were also winners in the fashion department. Here are some of the best dressed stars at the 49th Box-Office Entertainment Awards given by the Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation.
What better way to start off this list than with the hailed Box Office Queen herself, Liza Soberano. As usual, the stunning actress turned heads once again in a custom silver tube gown with sparkling details by Mark Bumgarner. The box office queen showed some skin in her gown’s slit below the armpit all the way down to the waist. Besides her ravishing dress, Liza also turned heads with her new blunt short haircut, which gave us some Kylie Jenner vibes. Her gown, meanwhile, was compared to Kendall Jenner’s gown by Ralph and Russo.
Along with Liza, 21-year-old Julia is also among the usual head turners during awards night. This time, the actress stunned in a plunging green gown with sparkly beads. She paired her look with red lips and drop earrings.
The actress/rocker made her “Cinderella dreams” come true during the 49th Box-Office Entertainment Awards as she donned a blue sweetheart ball gown with sequins and beautiful swirl details. The stunning gown was made by Filipino designer Michael Leyva, which gave us the feels of Pia Wurtzbach’s gown from Miss Universe.
That’s not all, however, for the actress, as she changed into a second look. This time she slipped into a body-hugging silver gown with plunging neckline and sheer fabric with sparkling details from the waist down. The dress was made by atelier known for creating wedding gowns, Patricia Santos.
Speaking of wedding gowns, Yassi Pressman also looked like a blushing bride in one of the gowns she wore during the awards night. The charming white gown featured floral appliques, a multi-tiered skirt, and sheer ribbons on the shoulders which we love.
Veering away from the sparkling gowns, Marian kept her look simple but elegant with her minimalist white dress. Her gown perfectly hugged her curves and the unique neckline and one sleeve added an oomph to it.
