He may not be the tallest guy on the court, but count on LA Tenorio to come up with the biggest plays.

Showcasing his impressive playmaking plays, Barangay Ginebra’s backcourt veteran earned for himself the PBA Player of the Week recognition after helping steer the Gin Kings to a four-game winning streak in the Commissioner’s Cup.

Tenorio averaged 14 points, 6.5 assists, 4 rebounds, and 4 steals in his team’s blowout victories over Columbian Dyip and the Alaska Aces the past week.

“The Gin-eral” listed 16 points, dished out 10 assists, grabbed three rebounds, and had three steals in the Kings’ 133-104 demolition of Columbian on Wednesday, and followed up with another brilliant performance four days later.

In Ginebra’s routing of the Alaska Aces, Tenorio shone with 12 points, five rebounds, five steals, and three assists.

Tenorio beat teammate Japeth Aguilar, San Miguel’s June Mar Fajardo and Marcio Lassiter, Phoenix’s Matthew Wright, Rain or Shine’s Maverick Ahanmisi, and TNT’s Troy Rosario for the weekly citation.

The Gin Kings are currently in the midst of a 12-day break and will return to action on July 6 against the GlobalPort Batang Pier.
