Nowadays, museums are trying to attract more youth by creating innovative ways and new ideas. There’s the Museum of Ice Cream in the US that’s a wonderland of (literal) eyecandy, the hilarious Trick Eye Museum in different parts of the world, and the Digital Art Museum in Tokyo. They all have one thing in common: they’re all “Instagrammable.” With today’s social media hungry youth, museums now have added another element that’s guaranteed to enhance one’s feed. And just when you think you’ve seen all the Instagram-worthy museums out there, Seoul just came out with another novel idea: the Museum of Fruit.
From now until 30th September, the cultural space of Insadong opens a “pop up museum” that features an everyday diet staple: fruits. More specifically, summer passion fruits as the main theme of the exhibition. According to hkkkulture.com, this is the first exhibition in South Korea that incorporates with social networking sites and the combined works of various artists in the country.
