No other awards-giving body parties like MTV does. MTV Europe Music Awards is happening in London right now, and you can expect it’s overflowing with glam on the red carpet, explosive performances, and surprising wins. It’s a night when Europe’s most popular artists come together to celebrate the biggest hits of the year. Aside from the list of winners, probably the most awaited portion of the event is the red carpet where stars parade in their best (or worst) garb. Here are the good, the bad, and some of the baffling red carpet choices:
Lana Del Rey
In Lana we trust. The “Summertime Sadness” singer brought her otherworldly beauty and mystique on the red carpet with a floral ensemble, signature barely-there makeup with a cat-eye.
Pixie wore a luxe matching black and gold look that looked chic.
Demi indeed lives what she sings as she personifies her song “Confident” in a shirtless and oversized suit.
We’re not quite sure what Jared Leto is going for in this multi-colored ensemble, but kudos to him for literally going extra.
EMAs host Rita Ora came in dressed (sort of) in her bathrobe but still looking all glammed up.
Former Fifth Harmony star and “Havana” singer Camila Cabello looked feminine and edgy in a see-through frock.
Pop star Zara Larsson kept it light and casual in a matching pink off-shoulder top and pants paired with sneakers.
Israeli pop star Noa Kirel went futuristic with a leather-padded outfit.
Canadian singer and heartthrob Shawn Mendez kept it classy in a paisley suit matched with a silk-printed polo. Shawn is the biggest winner of the night as he walked home with Best Song, Best Artist, and Biggest Fans awards.
