Christmas is in the air, and as everyone joins in the merriment, so are our favorite coffee shops. With the sticker season comes the very merry (and Instagram-worthy!) holiday drinks meant to spruce up your coffee sessions. Here are some of the holiday coffee and non-coffee blends you should try this year.
Probably everyone’s top fave coffee shop in the metro, Starbucks offers three holiday flavors: Villa Nougat, Christmas Tree Peppermint Dark Mocha, and Toffee Nut Crunch. You can enjoy these colorful drinks hot or cold–as latte or frappuccino.
The latest addition to the nougat collection, Vanilla nougat combines the rich taste of French vanilla and nougat notes. It’s made even more special with Starbucks’ Signature Espresso mixed with berry drizzle and topped with strawberry almond candy nougat topping. The drink’s red and white colors alone remind you of Christmas.
Toffee Nut Crunch
If you want your drink simple but with a kick, this Starbucks drink is perfect for you. It features toffee nut syrup and steamed milk, made edgy with espresso shots and topped with the creamy goodness of whipped cream and toffee nut crunch.
Christmas Tree Peppermint Dark Mocha
The most Christmas-y of all the holiday drinks from Starbucks, the Christmas Tree Peppermint Dark Mocha is aptly named as it looks like a mini Christmas tree. Made of “decadent dark mocha” and green tea whipped cream, the drink is “lit up” with sprinkles of green and red candies–literally Christmas in a cup!
“Sharing joy with every cup,” Seattle’s Best’s holiday drinks this year come in four flavors, each topped with a Christmas “accent.”
If you’re not fond of coffee, you can still join in the festive season with this drink. As the name suggests, it’s a combination of banana and strawberries, with a light hint of yogurt. Of course, it won’t be complete without the whipped cream on top plus Snowman!
Black Forest Cheesecake
Perfect for those who love Black Forest, this holiday drink infuses whipped cheesecake cream at the top and bottom. Having personally tried it though, the Black Forest flavor is stronger than the cheesecake cream. The drink is made more merry with its Santa Claus topping.
Raspberry Christmas Mousse
Those fond of the berry and chocolate combination will love this drink, as it combines a sweet and nutty coffee blend with raspberry and chocolate whipped cream. It also fits its name as it’s topped with a mini Christmas tree and sparkling gold and white balls.
Banoffee never gets old, and it’s even made merrier in this holiday drink from Seattle’s. It features the flavors of banana, English toffee, and dark chocolate.
